Hi,

I want to do is allow users to select a business card from a selection of pre-uploaded images (business cards templates) then allow the user to edit a copy of that image on pixlr. Once the user is done adding their business card info, I would like to save the image back on drupal to go though the checkout procedure.

Some pointers to the right direction is appreciated.

Sorry for the late answer... this feature is not available out-of-the-box.
It looks like you should implement your own custom module utilizing the Image Editor API to create this functionality.
