I set up the 'Image javascript crop' module, created the required imagecache preset, tested the module on a couple of images, and then modified the Imagecache preset. So far the cropping was working, but after modifying the preset, I'm just getting: No preset is found with the javascript_crop action so far. If you want to take advantage of this.

Any ideas?

No response from the maintainer, closing as "won't fix" and uninstalling the module.
