Hi There and thanks or a great module

Is thee a way of adding a hyperlink to the images so that each image could be a link to a page or story node? Or is there already a solution for this elsewhere?

That sounds like a different module...maybe something more like nodequeue + carousel. This module is intended to just piggy back of image module.
