Fantastic module that should be almost a Drupal Core feature: neat, basic, simple.

Chat room is very neat, as it is!

I don't have problem with considering the chatroom as a user, however, I would like it works more like a user!

> When trying to discuss with someone in particular, the recipient is automatically sset to talking to the caller in order to create the communicaiton channel.

> When initiating a one-to-many, then many-to-many discussion using the chatroom, nobody will get the call unless they have already selected the chatroom. That means that the caller shalll first instruct each participant one by one to get them in the room.

Possible solution
- a call to a chatroom toggles all on-line users to talk to that chatroom exactly like an individual call toggles the receiver to to talk to the caller

You raise a very good point. This might work fine on a small site, but would need some sort of settings on a site with 200,000 users and 50 chatrooms !!

Maybe allow admin (or users) to either send invites, or create relationships, that will receive automatic "invites" to certain chatrooms - then allow users to "call" everybody on the list ... I'd like to see further integration with organic groups and taxonomies (other ways to create groups of "invitees").

You might be interested in #520418: Any chance of being able to save the conversation text? since it kind of talks about a similar idea - but here you would be able to create a node (maybe an Event) to represent a discussion, invite others to the node, then "conduct" the discussion via IM, and then actually save the discussion along with the node.

Lot's of really cool ideas. I'm terribly busy at for the next 3 weeks, but part of that will be a drive across the U.S. with 3 cats and maybe they will let me have the mind space to think of all these ideas and come up with a plan!

Thanks for the ideas and also the positive feedback !
