I'm using cck with, text field and group field.
I setup a single text field is a collapsible group field just below the body. When I click to expand the field... see the attachment (I can't see almost anything, I can't see anything I write)

Second attachment shows the body field, it's just right and working

btw , the theme is a minor custom of foliage theme

Add more lines (rows) to that CCK textfield, and also you can use the grippie (the grey box on the bottom) to resize the area.

I added 15 rows, but no change, so I changed the field from collapsed to 'always open' and now works.

I've run into the collapsible field thing before, with HTMLarea (and I think TinyMCE). There probably needs to be some CSS making textareas in collapsible fieldsets a little taller than they are by default.
