I have just installed the htmlarea.module (cvs version) and evrything seems to function well setting up, but the text input boxes are not changed. Everything seems to be the same as before the install. Is the CVS version fully operational?

ok- only thing I notice so far is "script error" on load, down in the status bar area...

found out it's already been pointed out as "combos is null" in another thread. The problem is with the css.js in the CSS plugins folder. I haven't fixed it, just unchecked the box so far, so I can move on.

the css plugin will not work with drupal, as it requires a parameter to be passed to it. drupal does not. At this point in time I have not determined a method that I am satisfied with to do this.
