All debian parts of htmlarea are able to be localised.

I did however send out a request a few months back to ask of a suitable method of how I should set the language in htmlarea, but nothing was really forthcomming and there was not much interest.

As I only speak english, I have very little knowledge on the best method of doing this. That is why it is permantly set to english.

Drupal has it's localization feature which you can enable from administer/module/locale, stated as "Enables the translation of the user interface to languages other than English."

But I'm not sure how to implement this feature within a module *_*

It seems that we just put (English) strings into t(""), like t("This is Drupal") and the strings are compatible with locale module. After this, those who need other languages can translate them into languages they need with locale module located at administer/localization.

Hope anyone who knows well corrects me.

Yes using the t() is how you enable a module to use localisation.

Will you do it? :-)

gordon’s picture

Yes I could do it, but I am confused, htmlarea already has this done, so do you want me to do some work for you? if you please contact me at gordon@heydon.com.au and we can discuss it.

>htmlarea already has this done

I've just checked a word like "Bold", "Italic" etc., but there are no word to be translated.

Maybe there is newer version than // $Id: htmlarea.module,v 1.63.2.1 2004/11/13 12:21:36 gordon Exp $. I'll check it :-)

Yes the tool bar page they are not localised, I have just done it here, but I will not be uploading it for the next couple of days.

This page isn't that import as it is only an admin page. Normal users would not be using this page at all.
