It wuold be great if someone add an option that link the thumb image to the original node,
like the ImageCache module does

This module does not impact any linking behavior. If you are in a view, on the field just select the "link this field to its node" box. If you are using the theme helper function, just provide the link with it.

Duh.

I misinterpreted the original request of this, and I ran into a situation tonight where I needed this functionality. So here it is. Testing and feedback are welcome. This is for 6.x against 6.x-1.x-dev.
