Drush 6 is already optional for Aegir 6.x-2.x. (and preferred personally) Should we move to package that for Debian too?
7.x-3.x release would also benefit from Drush 7 ... but we have to wait and see when that will be out.

There is no composer debian packge :( so should we start installing composer via other means?

I'm going for the more practical ... using composer to install it.
