Hi, I've noticed there hasn't been any updates on https://www.drupal.org/node/2388873#comment-10723282 and I'd like to help. The module owner hasn't been in irc for 2 + years so I'm wondering if he maybe moved on from drupal? I'd like to take over ownership for the 8.x branch. I'd more than likely set 7.x to security support if that were the situation but either way I'm just hoping to avoid duplicating effort here with the project I started. Let me know how we can get an 8.x branch going and if we can use my first pr.

I am sorry I am not on irc but I don't need to be on irc to maintain a module or work on drupal. As for the ownership I would love to grant you access to commit to a branch if I see a working 8.x patch in the issue. The github code referenced in the issue is not what I envision for this module for it to be merged it needs to support input filtering.

Well there were several open issues for months that had no updates, and there were no answers to the module update thread for a month. Sorry but I thought the project was abandoned and wanted to start the process of getting an 8.x going. I only mentioned irc because it seemed as if you haven't been around for a while.
