Problem/Motivation

Writing a template in JSON requires knowing block names and attributes.

Steps to reproduce

Proposed resolution

  • An "Open template builder" button opens a full-screen modal with a block editor (Visual tab) and the JSON editor (Code tab).
  • It offers the blocks allowed for the content type, and has no template lock, so per-block locks can be set.
  • Blocks it doesn't know are kept unchanged.
  • "Apply" writes the JSON back to the form.
  • The node form's editor setup moves to a shared service.
