With this module, you can seamlessly integrate the .NET version of the GroupDocs HTML5 document annotator into Drupal CMS. It enables your users to view, annotate and share common types of documents and images right from within your Drupal site or app without having to install the original software that the documents/images were created in.
To name a few, supported file formats include: PDF and Microsoft Word Documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, Visio diagrams, CAD drawings, as well as OpenDocument, CSV, RTF, plain text and raster image files (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, BMP).

1. GroupDocs.Annotation allows your users to access, view and annotate any supported document from any web-enabled device, be it a PC, tablet or mobile. All a user needs is an HTML5-compliant browser – there is no need to install any 3rd party software or plugins.
2. Thanks to the real-time annotation mode, several users can annotate the same document at a time. This greatly enhances your document collaboration workflow, as users can easily invite others for online document review, see and reply to each other’s comments, get faster feedback and approval.
3. GroupDocs.Annotation provides a comprehensive set of annotation tools designed for convenient online document review, including: sticky notes, freehand lines, arrows, rectangles, text and area redaction, text underline/strikeout, ruler, watermarks and more.
4. Comments and markup placed via GroupDocs.Annotation are compatible with native PDF and Word annotations. This allows users to export PDF and DOC/DOCX files annotated online into PDF and Word files respectively with the annotations in them for further offline review and editing.
5. All operations with a document are made through secure SSL sessions. By disabling the document download, print and text copy options, you can share sensitive documents in read-only mode to prevent unauthorized content coping. For an extra layer of security, add watermarks over displayed documents, so that your content is protected against screen-grabs.
6. Finally, different from the cloud-based module which we released earlier, this version integrates a downloadable .NET library that can be deployed on-premises, meaning you can host and store your documents locally, using your own infrastructure.
