Would this module be suitable for controlling Accounts? We would like to create a separate group for each client. Each client will have multiple users that will be added to the group as members with different rolls defining what they can see/edit e.g. invoices, tickets etc Groups seems to be a perfect fit in my test system but I am worried that there may be performance issues when we have 2000+ groups configured, one for each client we work with with tickets and invoices etc. Can anyone comment on this?

@cjsmith87 We have a system using 8.x-1.0-rc4 with hundreds of groups, each having dozens of nodes, and some users are subscribed to all groups. We were experiencing timeouts while retrieving content for a group, but after applying the patches in #3029849: Statically cache gnode_node_grants() and #3029878: Statically cache loadByEntity() the timeouts had disappeared and the content came back in a few seconds.

Another issue that might help once a stable patch is available is #3029857: Add index on group_content_field_data (type, entity_id).

Cheers.
