How to make a address based proximity search ?

Hi,

I'm trying to make a search where the user would input an address, zipcode,... (like in the google map search field) and will get a list of the closest nodes to the entered address / zipcode (ex: <= 10km from geocoded address).

I'm using a AnP CCK field for storing the address and have managed to make it work with an exposed filter directly using coordinates but I can't find out how to configure the exposed filter to display a text field for entering the address.

I've attached a screenshot of my view exposed filter configuration. If I select "radius <= 10" as the operator, then the exposed filter expects point information (coordinates, bounds...). I first thought checking the "Enable Geocoder" checkbox would solve my problem but I don't see any difference. Also, if I use the "Within address" and enter a zipcode, it, as expected by design, returns results within the zipcode but not from the surrounding zipcodes (which I would like).

I've been looking carefully through the issues on this module and could not find any answer. So I would really appreciate a hint on how to configure this and get the best advantage of your great module.
