Git Commit module provides an entity that represents a git commit.
Thus, all Entity API functionalities are available: entity hooks and functions, metadata wrappers, Views and Feeds integration, entity tokens, etc. The purpose of this module is not to be a repository viewer, but be a flexible platform to useful extensions (one of them could be a repository viewer, why not?) related to generic git commits. Currently, this module extends to the following use cases:
- Git Commit Webhook:
When you want to trigger a commit entity creation when commits information arrives from your repositories by POST. - Git Commit Reference:
When you want to automatically establish relations between commits and internal entities by parsing the commit message and extracting entity IDs.
