Google Places API allows results to be cached for up to 30 days. https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/terms/maps-service-terms

This results in a reduction of API usage of several orders of magnitude, and is absolutely necessary for a public-facing Places-based search. Otherwise your billable usage will spike and your clients will be very unhappy (ask me how i know).
