Please don't abuse the priority - this does not break Drupal because you can use another theme for admin.

I'll get to it when I have time.

Doesn't break Drupal, but it does break the Genesis theme. This isn't a core issue; it's a Genesis theme issue.

Lest it take you another six months to find time to apply a single-line patch, would you mind giving me maintainer access so I can apply it myself?

Fixed in both versions - for the 7.x-1.x XHTML version I have added back the mistakenly removed aria roles javascript and for the 7.x-2.x HTML5 version removed the bad reference.
