A Google Client Geocoder based package, which allows you to:
- Use a Google client geocoder enabled, xAL - Extensible Address Language compliant address field in your forms (by gcg).
- Add addresses to your nodes and display the address either on a static or dynamic Google Map (by gcg_node).
- Automatically categorize the content by location (by gcg_taxonomy).
The package depends on the Country codes API and requires a Google Maps API Key.
Installation
You can install as usual, just copy the source to your modules directory and enable the required submodules at admin >> build >> modules.
Configuration
- Admin >> Settings

- >> GCG Node - site wide input and display defaults
- >> GCG Taxonomy - Categorization settings
- Admin >> Content >> Content Types
- You can enable addressing, configure input behavior and default display settings for each node type.
- Admin >> Content >> Categories
- You can configure the vocabulary used by GCG Taxonomy. Default name is "Addresses".
About the demo
The demo is a hungarian portal, so, if you would like to see the static map in action, click "Térkép betöltése" in the "Tartalom térképe" block at the top-left corner of the page.
Release 0.1 contains bugs!! Use the dev release, please.
