Sounds like a useful project, I'd like to see the UI.

A while ago I used editview to allow me to update bulk images selected galleries (and captions/titles!)

I 'maintain' taxonomy_multi_edit which also addresses some of these requirements, but not with thumbnails.

Thanks for pointing out those alternatives. This is only a small module with one purpose at the moment. It can move images from one gallery to another quickly, and does nothing else.

.. I imagine we could merge thumbnails into some of the core content management screens, or taxonomy_multi_edit and get a similar effect. But having this available next to the gallery management itself is handy.
