Many thanks for the Fusion theme!
Just wondering if you've considered allowing option of em for font sizes; partly as - I think - can help users who favour larger/smaller text than normal. (I'd also thought that meant more consistency across monitors of various resolutions, but not seeing this on quick googling just now.)
Just to note: reading info on Fusion (as well as on other starter themes), looks like it could be quite a kerfuffle even trying it - which isn't the case I found.
Maybe, early in info, you could note that to try it, can install with sub-theme, and use sub-theme, then making various changes via admin. No messing about with css (yet!) - and can make major changes, see if you might like to use Fusion. If you have only one website run w Drupal, can stick to the sub-theme, changing this [till need care with an update; if change css or whatever, don't overwrite it!]

stephthegeek commentedHey there, thanks for the comments. I'm not 100% sure I follow everything you're saying here but let me know if my understanding is incorrect.
For the font sizes, we do use relative font sizes now, as percentages. Ems are a bit confusing because they are relative but the average user doesn't think they are -- and you can run into issues with them stacking up and text getting too small. So we opted for percentages to make it clear that the fonts are definitely relative and you should keep that in mind when changing sizes.
We refer to them as pixels in the settings though, because this is something more easily understood for users. "120%" doesn't mean much if you have nothing to compare to :) And yes, because of Internet Explorer, you don't want to use px in fonts for better resizing in browser and accessibility.
For your second comment -- what I think you're saying here is that the documentation sounded more confusing than the experience of using it actually was. If so, I suppose that is a good thing because it's easier to improve the documentation ;)
I think you are suggesting that people try it out without doing any subtheming at first, just configure via the interface and see how much you like it? This is a good suggestion and we should probably make it clearer about how much can be done through the admin interface first, before you try coding.
Thanks for trying out Fusion!

DocMartin commentedYes, you followed my comments ok.
I hadn't really figured re "pixels" in the settings being not really pixels, but something similar (later noticed this is the case, in some info on Fusion). Maybe a note accompanying the settings might help here.
And yes, the documentation had made Fusion seem more confusing than it proved to be. Indeed, can just try without creating a subtheme with a new name - so if you suggest this, may entice more people to try it.
You might put a note early in the info on Fusion, saying it is easy to try, and with just a few clicks you can be up and running with a theme that looks good, and which you can improve on. [Looking at starter themes, it seems this is by no means always the case.]
Then, the introductory info can tell of the bells and whistles.
