Hello
Great theme, however I have just noticed that when I look at a 'story' or a 'simplenews' node type, the primary menu and the footer menu is no longer visible.
I am themeing the Magazeen 6.x-3.0-beta1 theme using local.css.
I originally posted this as a bug in the Magazeen theme, which I have now closed, as I have also discovered that this happens when I install the Mix and Match theme. Both of which use Fusion as the Core theme.
It is visible though for page and all the content types that I have created.
Any suggestions of how I might get the menus to show?
Thanks

sheena_d commentedHave you made any customizations to your theme other than local.css? Is there any custom CSS you have written that effects only the story and simplenews pages?
Are you using menus in blocks or are you using the primary menu that is hard-coded into the page template? If your menus are in blocks, have you checked the block visibility settings to make sure the blocks are not being hidden on these pages? Do you have any modules installed that work with the menu system?
It would be very helpful to see a link to a page on your site where the menus work as expected and another link on your site where the menus are not working as expected.
Thanks,
Sheena

HTF commentedHi Sheena
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
The only other customization I have made to the theme other than changes to local.css is to change the position of the slogan in page.tpl.php
I haven't made any changes that affect just the story or simplenews content types.
I am using the primary-menu which is hard-coded, the same problem does all occur to the primary-menu block and the footer block. I have checked the visibility of the blocks but it is not that. I have installed block-node-visibility as I evenutally hope to show certain blocks for different content types however when I discovered this problem, I disabled it to see if that was the problem but it wasn't. I don't have any modules installed which would affect the menu visibility.
You can see the menus here: http://www.historictownsforum.net/
But you can't see them here: http://www.historictownsforum.net/node/1121 (story content type)
And you can't see them here: http://www.historictownsforum.net/node/1101 (simplenews content type)
Thanks again

sheena_d commentedIt looks like you have the DHTML menu module enabled. This module conflicts with Fusion's built-in superfish menu. You'll need to choose between either disabling DHTML menu or disabling Fusion's drop-down menus.
Cheers,
Sheena

HTF commentedHi Sheena
Thanks for getting back to me. I have disabled the DHTML menu and I have disabled Fusion's and Magazeen's built-in-superfish menu however I am still not able to see the primary menu or the footer menu for story or simplenews content types. Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks again

sheena_d commentedDoes the issue persist if you enable a non fusion-based theme, such as Garland?
HTF commentedHi Sheena
No it doesn't

HTF commentedHi Sheena
Sorry, it does happen with Garland, it has only just started to happen though, do you have any ideas why this might be the case?
Thanks again

sheena_d commentedIf it is happening with Garland, then it is a configuration issue, not a theme-related issue. I really do not know what could be causing the issue other than some contributed module. I suggest reviewing all the contributed modules you are using on your site to see which ones could be affecting the menu and/or the story and simplenews pages. Perhaps context or rules? Look through the documentation and issue queue for those modules to see if you can pinpoint the configuration that is causing this issue.

HTF commentedHello Sheena
Many thanks for all your help. I have discovered that the problem was with some of the rules that I had set in the menu breadcrumb module. Some of the rules had been mis-configured somewhere, not sure how though. I can confirm that the primary menu and the footer menu now appear when I look at a story or simplenews content type.
Thanks again
