Problem/Motivation

I removed the content moderation state because I wanted to use another solution for the moderation.
When I remove all the moderation state from the link in the unsinstall page. Most of workflow instances are deleted.
The one that they were created before I install Content moderation are still there.

Steps to reproduce

Install and configure Form steps. Create fews node with the form steps.
Install content moderation. Create fews node with the form steps with a moderation status.
Remove content moderation modules.
The workflow instances are gone.

Can I Copy the form_steps_workflow table prior to removing content moderation an reimport it ?

Digging into the forms_steps code I found forms_steps_entity_predelete in forms_steps.module
It "Deletes workflow entities when original entity is deleted".
But when you remove content moderation we don't delete entity, just the moderation state attached to it.

Hello valeraye !

I'm going to check the code but hook_entity_predelete() should be called only on an entity deletion.
I don't get why the content moderation module calls it if it doesn't delete any entity.

Anyway, I'm going to see where the logic is wrong and how we can fix this.
