Hello,
Looking for a way to alter forms using rules, I found Fool's Rules, and also Rules Forms Support.
Are both modules trying to answer the same use cases? If so, is one of them more advanced and stable than the other? Wouldn't cooperation a good thing, when working on similar features?
Thanks for your answers,
David

seandunaway commentedHi David,
This module is a bit more simplistic and more generalized. It can modify anything on the page, not just forms, including any bundle type and the page array.
Less LoC, more ability, more maintainability, however requires more advanced understanding and not as user friendly.
If you want a step by step wizard that makes finding the name and inputs of a form easy then Rules Forms is the better option - otherwise I'd take the time to learn what this module is doing. I imagine Rules Forms is better for beginners and this module is preferred for power users or those who understand Drupals internals (but don't want to roll their own .module for whatever reason)
I'm a maintainer for both. At one time jordojuice and I had big plans and a total rewrite planned for Rules Forms but honestly I abandoned that thought when I realized I could do all that and more with very flexible and powerful single rule.
