I can't use the module with the last update 8.6 drupal core.
Trying this tutorial: https://vimeo.com/204099629, is not posible setting up the module functions (image field is showed like if the module is not present).

Yeah ... sadly the video you reference is a bit old. You need make sure you use the "focal point image widget" for any field you want focal point working with.

Give that a try and then report back
