Hello. First, thanks for this great module, it has been extremely useful to me in my projects.
I have no insight into the techinicalities of how this might work, so apologise if this is a pointless request, but it would be incredibly useful if one were able to gain access, through Views, to the individual fields of the original node type used as a Flexifield within another node type. (i.e, let's say I had node type 'A' with an image and text field which I used as a Flexifield within node type 'B': it would be great if I could filter to node type 'B', but be able to only show the image field from node type 'A'). As it stands the only option, as far as I can tell, is to display the whole Flexifield field and use CSS to hide the elements not needed (which is far from ideal obviously).
My use scenario for this is a company with a number of products. Each product has a number of features that need displaying in various places across the site, one example being any number of quotes about the product. My ideal scenario for ease of use for the end client is there being one content type for each product which contains all the necessary information, rather than having multiple content types that require complicated use of taxonomy by the user (hope that makes sense).
I understand that Flexifield doesn't store the data of nodes used as Flexifields as the original node types themselves (rather as part of the overarching 'daddy' node type), so I suspect this is why this feature may not be possible. If it were possible however it would be fantastically useful (for me, at least!)
For the time being I'm having to just use taxonomy, which isn't the end of the world but not quite as user friendly as I want to make the site.

willhowlett commentedI feel stupid! It appears this functionality is built in with the 'Flexifield Display Contexts' functionality. Haven't quite got my head fully round setting it up yet but it is there. D'oh. Apologies.
