I have been working on getting the steaming server working right for a month now, I am finally able to get the files to transfer to the red5 server (which is on my vps centos5 server), Now it doesn't the filefield (or flashvideo module) doesn't seem to recognize the transfer.


1. files transfered through openssh scp
2. doesn't delete old file
3. video field feeds off of the sites/default/files....... directory instead of the red5/demos/webapps/oflademo/streams directory


When I run cron I am getting the following error message, but I do not see an error

oh my flashvideo streaming setup is set like this:


Streaming URL:
rtmp://siteaddress.com/oflaDemo/streams (I have also tried (rtmp://siteaddress.com and rtmp://siteaddress.com/oflademo)



SSH Username:


squeak(which is the user account name) or root both work


Streaming Server Address:
server.squeaktube.com



Streaming Server File Path:
/usr/local/red5/webapps/oflaDemo/streams


Delete Local files after move. (checked but files don't get deleted)

I also have it set to "enable flashvideo streaming" checked and have the radio button set to "RTMP"

I have gotten it working. I did a fresh install and everything fixed it'self, there must have been a bug causing the issue.

Now if there was just a way I could create multiple thumbnails each in a different cck field, and a good "rotator" script / module that allows me to rotate through all thumbnails on "mouse over" for start rotations on mouse over.

I have noticed that Documentation/Tutorials as to how to do certain things having to do with "Streaming Videos", FFMPEG, FLVTOOLS2, and Thumbnail effects is not very cut and dry. you need to use several modules (flash video does most of the stuff I want though - Great Module).

Once I get everything done concerning the videos on the website I am working on, I will be making a tutorial as to the process' used for video setup and display. The tutorials Flash Video has, work like a charm for a general setup, but streaming/Advanced video setup is kind of sparse.

If anyone has anything they would like me to add to the "tutorial" / documentation (something they have figured out how to do) please let me know as I am hoping to make this process as easy as pie for people in the future.
