Hi,
I am using drupal 6.10 and flashvideo 6.x-1.0-dev.
After uploading a video file there is a message "video not available" displayed (and also for the thumbnail image).
And there is no entry in the flashvideo table.
Is there any setting that i am missing?

attheshow commentedHave you followed through one of the tutorials on the project homepage? Or maybe checked out the help section of the FlashVideo module? These are both good sources of information to help with initial setup and configuration of the module.

lukebrenner commentedYou have to run CRON man ...
Anyways, I am in the same situation, I have followed the video tutorial for setting up Flashvideo and creating content 4 times !!!! :)
I mean I have followed them thoroughly, ran cron, etc ...
But when I go to Content Management -> Content and see my content listed there, click on it but there's absolutely no thumbnail nor any video showing.
In the "files' folder I can see my .mov file and the converted .flv file, even the .jpg thumbnail file. Player.swf is there as well. And "files" is chmod 777.
One thing that I should mention is that the 3 files (mov, flv and jpg) and the .htaccess file are owned by apache, whereas the Player.swf is owned by admin. I own the VPS.
What did I do wrong ?
I am logged in as admin and create the content as admin.
Thank you.

attheshow commentedAre you also using the [video] tag in the body of your node that you're creating?

lukebrenner commentedHi, thank you for your answer.
You won't believe it, I just tried it with IE (7) and it works. But it doesn't in FF.
I promoted my first content to frontpage. In IE I can see the thumbnail and clicking on the thumbnail displays the video.
In FF I can see the thumbnail but when I click on it, nothing comes up.
Strange, eh ?
First time I used the [video] tag but then I applied the trick for $content (created a node-video.tpl.php file).
Is it known not to work with FF?
I'm using XP and Firefox is version 3.0.10.
I'm knew here, eager to learn so thank you for bearing with me.
Thanks.
[Update]
I tried it in Safari and Opera and it works.
It's just FF. Strange.

attheshow commentedNope, I've never heard of a Firefox issue. That's my primary browser.

I cleared all the FF cache and it now works.
Thank you for your input.
