So i've tested ffmpeg and it will convert files through shell command but for some reason when i upload a video it doesn't get put in the specified Video Import directory.

also, should i specify location of ffmpeg as /usr/bin (this is where the binary sits) or /usr/bin/ffmpeg ?

The video import directory is NOT to be used as the output directory. BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN. The video import directory should only be used to import videos, not export.

Thanks,

Travis.

Thanks,

I havent put the import directory as the output directory, i upload files and they go to mydomain.com/files (where ive specifide the sites "File system path" as. They should be going to mydomain.com/files/video_import .

What should I do? Change permissions? specify impot directory as files/video_import ?

When you upload files, they should NOT be going to the import directory. Bad things will happen, I promise you. The import directory is ONLY for importing, not uploading using the Drupal Upload module.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Travis.
