Hi,

I've just installed this module and it only seems to work in Firefox on a Mac - but not on Mac Chrome, and not on PC Firefox or IE7.

Surely some mistake?

Hmm, I know for sure it works in FF and I just re-tested it in Chrome, both work just fine. I don't know about IE7 but I don't see why it shouldn't work there.

Could you maybe point me to your site where the file force links appear - there might be something else wrong with it.

Hi thanks,

There's a file on this page:

http://hts.ac.uk/content/student-application-form

i tried adding that...

  Header set Content-Disposition attachment

...
to .htaccess - but no effect, so maybe I need to ask the hosting company?

Do you mean the Attachment.pdf? If you do, then I can see that it's not using file force, it's just a simple public download method link - file force links use the private download method (you will see something like system/files/) and ?download=1 attached as a query at the end. Depending on how this link is generated, i.e. what module you use to upload it to the node, please refer to the README on how to enable file force for that type of link. If you're still having any troubles, feel free to ask for more help, but let me know how the file is uploaded.

Uploaded with filefield - i thought it was compatible with filefield.

* File Force offers a number of additional formatters to the supported fields, which can be selected either in the "Display Fields" section of your content type or when adding fields to your view.

This is from the README - next time please consult it first.

Works!

I did read the Readme - but I must have missed that part. (late night reading "CSS Mastery").
