Referenced entity on a media field referencing an image file never gets the rendered entity property required for file_entity_link to be able to link to. Not sure where the problem lies as I haven't been able to determine what exactly adds that reference. I'm just using a media field on a node.

Media field has been deprecated. Please use image or file fields instead.
