Provides a possibility to mark fields as private.
Entity types:
The module supports all entity types that use fields and have an owner field. e.g. Node, Media, Comment, Group, Paragraph, Commerce Product, etc.
Permissions:
You can configure who can access the private field on the entity overview page by managing the Access private fields permission.
You can configure who can mark fields as private on the entity edit form by managing the Manage private fields permission.
There is a list of all permissions on the /admin/people/permissions/module/field_extra page.
Note that an author has all permissions to mark/view private fields by default.
Configurations:
1. Go to the /admin/config/content/private-settings page and enable the functionality for required entity types. e.g. enable it for the 'Content' entity type.
2. Set the 'Allow the author to hide this field's value by making it private.' configuration to TRUE on the field settings page.
3. Enable the 'Private' setting for the field on the create/edit page for the entity.
4. Done.
