Pass a string via QueryPath expression

Hello,

the Querypath parser and css selectors work well, but under some circumstances one would like to pass simple strings to the mapper.

My question: Is it possible to use a querypath expression hat simply returns a given string? (not extracted from feed and without hooks in feeds)
