I've been trying to get this working and for some reason the version of the JSONPath library from Google Code doesn't seem to support evaluated expressions well - if at all. To this end, I'm investigating using one of the implementations from Composer, which is more well maintained, but it'll require Composer Manager support to get going.

I don't have a patch ready yet, but once I do, I'll put it up here for review.

Just an fyi. The newest releases allow composer based workflows. I dont know about composer manager specifically... but composer plus the composer_autoloader module works beautifully. Pretty sure composer manager would too.
