Forgive me if this has been solved previously. Earlier posts say this happens if a parser is not chosen. I am using SimplePie 2.6.4 and Drupal 6.9. I have tried FeedAPI 6.X-1.6 and 6.X-1.x-dev. I created a content type and identified a processor type. The page gets saved as a feed, but the url does not get saved thus none of the videos are shown. Feed shown below:
feed://blip.tv/?y=0;search=learning%20english;page=1;x=0;s=search&skin=rss

Can you attach the result of the following SQL statement:

select * from variable where name like 'feedapi_settings_%';

Maybe the content-type is misconfigured.

Thank you for the quick reply. Results are attached:

Sorry that looks incomplete. I've added breaks here to ensure a complete copy of all results. It does show the content type as story(on two of them), and I tried changing that to movie where I added the embedded video field, but the selection did not save.:

One last bit of pertinent info. I was working on a computer with proxy settings. I had altered the core code with a patch that I found in the forums to allow the core modules to access things through the proxy but I suspect the proxy is the culprit. It allows feed aggregator to collect feeds, but feedapi may not be able to access that proxy information.

I set up feed api at home and I can at least get the feeds, though I cannot see images yet.

Title: <h1>Feed API does not store URL of Video Feeds</h1> » Make FeedAPI aware of proxies

I renamed the ticket to a more meaningful name.
Let's say a server usually access the internet directly, not behind a proxy.

About the images: you need to adjust this at two places: feedapi settings (admin/settings/feedapi - allow all html tags) AND Drupal input format (admin/settings/filters - make Full HTML the default).

Even drupal core doesn't take care of proxies. Also transparent web proxies are common

I hate being behind a proxy, it's a pain for web dev!
a simple patch for basic proxy support in D6.19 (see http://drupal.org/files/issues/7881-proxy-please-291.patch)
Then in parser_common_syndication/parser_common_syndication.inc around line 129
After:
curl_setopt($download, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, $headers);
curl_setopt($download, CURLOPT_HEADER, TRUE);
curl_setopt($download, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, TRUE);
curl_setopt($download, CURLOPT_ENCODING, '');

Add:
$proxy_server = variable_get('proxy_server', '');
if ($proxy_server && !is_in_no_proxy_list(parse_url($url, PHP_URL_HOST))) {
curl_setopt($download, CURLOPT_PROXY, 'http://' . $proxy_server . ':' . variable_get('proxy_port', 8080) . '/');
if ($proxy_username = variable_get('proxy_username', '')) {
if ($proxy_password = variable_get('proxy_password', '')) {
curl_setopt($download, CURLOPT_PROXYUSERPWD,$proxy_username . ':'. $proxy_password);
} else {
curl_setopt($download, CURLOPT_PROXYUSERPWD,$proxy_username);
}
}
}

Voilà ;)
