Hi

Is there anyway to filter out illegal ascii characters, I keep getting squares in my node text where there is illegal characters from the RSS feed that is parsed by feedapi, it is this character ‘ that causes the problems.

I'm having this issue, sorta -- some dev used — for an em dash when they should be using —, and now it is showing up as either boxes or blank space. Any way to properly encode it when it gets over to me?
