I'm new to drupal. I'm not a developer. I'm basically capable of uploading a module and enabling it. That said, I am interested in seeing this module get to the point of being usable on a production site. What is the typical process of sponsoring a module such as this? What is the price?

I installed the alpha version with the latest Facebook status module and updated the views to include the comments fields but unfortunately was not able to get the comments to display. Afraid I don't know enough about drupal yet.

Apologies if I submitted this to the wrong area.

Thanks

Jonathan

you can use heartbeat to display the posted statuses and that would let users comment (react) to posted statuses. The heartbeat module is not easy to set up if you are new to drupal. There is also a link to donate on the project page for fbssc. Try contacting Ice Cream You (the developer) and ask him directly what it would cost or just make a donation.

Hi, I'm the developer of FBSSC.

FWIW, the Activity module also features a comment system. However, Activity comments will have the same problem as FBSSC due to issue #710684: "Form in form" problem causes status updates to fail. Also, Heartbeat views cannot auto-update without constant AJAX polling, which is expensive. A possible fix to both problems might involve #735326: Javascript Event for submission success.

Jonathan, offers to sponsor module development are usually best expressed via email. You can use my drupal.org contact form to contact me if you would like and we can discuss funding.

Having said that, I would be just as happy to see another developer working on this module as I would to be paid to work on it myself. If anyone else wants to take up this offer (or if anyone else is already being sponsored to work on this module) I will be more than happy to answer any questions that may come up or offer other support of that nature.
