Hi, and thanks for this module.
I managed to have the links working on node links area, but I can't seem to find the help/examples
in creating my own link in my custom area.

Can you provide a couple of examples as to how to use the API in creating (publish/unpublish) links?

I would look at the submodules that Fasttoggle provides, particularly now the support for users, nodes, comments and so on have been split out into separate submodules.
