hello - i'm curious to know more about how exactly this works.

right now i have several facets exposed to a search api index, and i've been looking at:

https://drupal.org/project/facetapi_select
https://drupal.org/project/facetapi_multiselect (similar, but designed to work with chosen, etc)
https://drupal.org/sandbox/sammyd56/1353462 (facet api chosen, but seems to be a defunct sandbox project)

is the idea behind your module similar? for example, if i'm using "chosen," then will the exposed widget for 'select' inherit that function?

any insights are appreciated.

update: installed and testing - i get it. very nice work!!!

a couple of things jumped out at me:

- the title of the facet is automatically inserted with no control - it would be nice to have control (like 'do not display title of facet(s) within block) because the title may be controlled again at the block-title level (for styling, etc)

- the select option does not work at all, the block simply vanishes. this is happening when using the bootstrap theme, so not sure if it's isolated to the theme or a conflict with 'autocomplete' when using a search api index or something like that

Thank you Zilla, what you suggested about the title is nice, we will implement this soon.

About the select option, have you tried it in another theme?

i actually have not tried in another theme because i'm building off a bootstrap base - was in working in stock garland or other standard themes? bootstrap has a few of its own elements that sometimes make things quirky
