I'm running Drupal 6.19 and see excerpt fields showing up on node edit pages for ALL node types after enabling this module, even those where the body field is hidden. (Is this by design?)

Reading through the issue queue, I get the sense that I should be able to selectively disable or enable Excerpt on a per node-type basis, but cannot seem to find where to configure this. Can anyone help me to find where is this configured?

Ah, found this setting under "Workflow settings" (collapsed by default).

Without exploring the inner workings of this module, and why this setting belongs in Workflow, it seems like it would be more intuitive for this choice to live in the "Submission form settings" field group.

Hope this comment is helpful to another site builder.
