this patch adds an 'excerpt' menu item under administer>settings

from here you can specify to which content types the excerpt functionality should be applied

I created this patch on 4.7.0 instead of cvs since 4.7.0 was newer?!

Either this patch or similar functionality had been added before I started maintaining this module.
