This module hasn't been updated to Drupal 5.0 yet, is this likely to happen?

I would like to use this type of functionality, but the module doesn't seem to work.

Many of the support requests are also long overdue.

Well it says...5.x-1.2 and both have the same release date. I also use this module and no problem in my part.
