Hello.
The issue I'm having is that my forums are not displaying the eve api user images.
I'm guessing that this is a result of them being linked directly from the eve servers, is there anyway to fix this or have them automatically store the user images locally?
I have Advanced Forums, Author Pane and User Stats Installed.

0mni commentedThey are pulled directly from the EVE Server, there should be no reason why they will not work, unless you have been blacklisted by CCP. I have no plans to store them locally on the Drupal server, and no intention to do so. I would recommend trying to verify if you are blacklisted by CCP, if you are I would resolve it with them, if not please report back here.

DragonFlame commentedSorry I think you might have misunderstood my issue, the images will show up in user profiles and in nodes so I don't think it would have anything to do with black listing as it has no trouble on these parts of the site but they will not show up in forum posts for some reason.
The only thing I can think would cause this is that the forum has issues with external images.
I have checked to see how the forum looks for user profile images and its using $Picture to reference the image to use which seems pretty standard.
Do you have any ideas what would cause the user images to not show up in the forums only?

0mni commentedI think you are using the Author Pane module for the forums, I came across this problem as well, it is not an issue with omni eve api, but with the way that the author pane module gets the images for each user. It uses its own format to get each users image, which does not allow for backwards computability with omni eve api. Can you confirm you are using this module, and if so I would direct the issue to the Author Pane and to request that they pull the images the same way the standard forums and even the advanced forums gets the user images.

0mni commentedThe way the images are attached, is the same way that gravatar handles the images. You can see that the author pane module has an issue with gravatar: https://drupal.org/node/1484722

DragonFlame commentedI am indeed using Author Pane, thanks for letting me know.

0mni commentedI was able to get the author pane to display the pictures properly again by using the patch in that post. I have not come across any issues. But it may get you going. This is a picture of how our posts look with the author pane.
