Links cannot be longer than 128 characters as they get cropped, if modifying that value, you'll get an error:

Link to cannot be longer than 128 characters but is currently XXX characters long.

Just saw that this module is no longer needed as Entity embed fixed the issue here: https://www.drupal.org/project/entity_embed/issues/2511404
