Got the same problem with the Profile2 module. This is the error I get:


•Notice: Undefined index: name in update_verify_update_archive() (line 706 of C:\wamp\www\drupal_7\modules\update\update.module).
•profile2-7.x-1.0-alpha2.tar.gz contains a version of that is not compatible with Drupal 7.x.
.

That's from uploading a downloaded .tar.gz file, since adding modules straight from the CVS while on a localhost might not be a good idea.

The Entity API module gives the same errors, but more update_verify_update_archive() ones.
