andreashaugstrup commentedAbsolutely! I'm just not into the changes in CCK between D5 and D6 so I have to read up on that first. If you have the skills this module is only 170 lines of code and should be ported in 2 seconds.

castawaybcn commentedI wish I had the skills, but sadly my technical knowledge is way below the task requirements.
However, I can help translating and testing, if you want.

This mod should save a lot of overhead vs. using the location.module. Albeit, they both provide much different types of functionality, there are times I'm under using the location.mod to provide specifically what Embed Google Maps Field provides

andreashaugstrup commentedI've just ported the module to D6 and put up a release to use. Please test. I've made sure it works and tested the multiple values feature of CCK for D6, but since this is my first CCK field module for D6 I may have missed something in the upgrade process.
txcrew, I made the module for that reason exactly. Sometimes getting a gmap api key is impossible for whatever reason, sometimes it's just too big of a hassle to set up.

Youdaman commentedAwesome! Thank you guys SO much! This is EXACTLY what I'm after! Your timing couldn't have been better either -- I just scored a project where I'm building a venue listing and this will make things so much easier for my client and the users of their site to add maps!
Do you guys take donations?! :D
Comment #6
andreashaugstrup commentedYou're very welcome. Be sure to create issues if you find any problems with the module. You are always welcome to send donations to solitude[at]solitude.dk - they are always appreciated. :o)
