Interesting module!

Not sure if this is a bug, but if the node had an alias, Edit As New marks it in red.
I am sure it is debatable, but the other way would be to append something to the alias automatically.

I don't think I can fix that one..

Basically, all fields are copied to the new node in the validation phase (before the form is first displayed). It would appear that the editasnew validation hook gets called before the path module's hook does, so it finds a path value that's already been taken and reports it as an error. Actually, it's probably a good thing that this happens as a reminder to change the path.
