What is the licensing of the included images? If not GPL then they need to be removed from Drupal.org, likely in a "nuclear" way via git history rewriting so the images are not in any version of the code. If the images are GPL then there should be some notice in the README so others don't post this issue all over again. :)
Aside from all of this I'd suggest catching up with David Reid as he's currently working on making Devel Generate pluggable. No use reinventing the wheel!

yuriy.babenko commentedHey Rick,
That's a good point. The Stockvault (where all images are from) terms of use don't specify an exact license, so it's probably safer to remove them altogether. I'm going to extend the module a bit to allow modules that implement hook_dummy_content() to also specify their own images. (And will look into removing these images from GIT.)

yuriy.babenko commentedImages have been removed from GIT, and module re-factored to allow child modules to specify their own image & text sources.

rickvug commentedCool. Wanted to save the trouble of the legal team finding the problem later. Will need to catch up outside the issue queue at some point. :)
