All versions up to current 6.x-3.0-rc3 and current HEAD. Multi Site problem.
On one of my boxes with drush installation, certain imporant drush commands don't work (cron, cc all and some more) to all sites that have $db_prefix. other commands ( dbupdate for example ) work fine. Site with no $db_prefix works fine with all commands.
This has been going on on this certain box for quite awhile. I've tried differnce cli configs, differnt php compiles and all of those produce similar results. Here trying to do a status command:

Title: $db_prefix breaks up a certail drush configuration and certain commands » $db_prefix breaks up a certain drush configuration and certain commands

Still. Same problem. Latest 3.0.
I still don't know what makes this certain box's config different as to cause $db_prefix`ed tables to no be read.
Can someone verify that there are different calls to db routines between commands such as *cc* and *updatedb* ???
Anybody? Anybody? Beuller?

Drush does not explicitly support $db_prefix. It would be a fair amount of work to make it work right.

it should support what the db layer supports, no?

Sure, it should, but until we get someone active in the drush queue who's using $db_prefix, it probably won't.

I'm going to close this as a duplicate of #625870: drush sql dump and table prefixes. I care enough about $db_prefix to have it on my "list of best intentions", but I'm backlogged on drush issues I'd like to see happen, and the ones that affect my installations are the ones that are most likely to get time first.
