Unless my brain has finally melted, I can no longer use

drush cli
cd @sitealias

to take me to that site's "environment" (sorry, I'm not familiar with the correct term here). Looks like:

@sitealias>

It takes me to the correct site root as per the alias definition, but even when I use st, the "Default" site URI, path, etc are displayed instead of those defined for the alias (e.g. http://default instead of http://my.site.alias).

Note that from the cli, st @sitealias does work properly.

Again, forgive me if I missed something.

Yes, that's a very good point; ideally, core-cli would work better. However, at the last sprint, we decided to deprecate core-cli in favor of the new drush autocompletion feature, so I don't know if this will ever get fixed. However, I think it would still be good to have sample code for a cd alias available, and it would perhaps be beneficial if cd @alias went to sites/sitefolder instead of the Drupal root.

p.s. In the meantime, perhaps you might want to try use @sitealias instead of "cd".

Status: Active » Closed (won't fix)

core-cli command has been removed from drush5. we'll probably only fix critical bugs in drush4 branch.
