I am having lots of trouble getting Drush to work on a 1and1 shared hosting account. It seems like it partially works, but I get this error a lot:
fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in <b>/*/*/*/*/drush/includes/drush.inc</b> on line <b>576</b>
drush status
PHP configuration : /usr/lib/php5/php.ini
Drush version : 4.4
Drush configuration :
Drush alias files :
This host does default to php4 also, but I am using this alias:
alias drush='/usr/local/bin/php5 -q -d memory_limit=80M /*/*/*/*/*/drush/drush.php --php="/usr/local/bin/php5 -q -d
memory_limit=80M"'
I don't have php-cli only php-cgi on this hosting package. Any ideas why this is failing?

ntrepid8 commentedHas anyone got drush working on a shared 1and1 hosting package? I can get it working fine on my other servers, but I can't seem to make it work on a shared 1and1 hosting package.

fmueller commentedWell, the README.txt says:
To use drush from the command line, you'll need a CLI-mode capable PHP binary.
So I don't think that it will work with the php-cgi ...
